Congratulations to Koloina Rakotoarivelo on Her New Research Grant
We are excited to congratulate Koloina Rakotoarivelo, a PhD student at the University of Antananarivo and a Wildlife Madagascar student researcher, on receiving a grant through Re:wild’s Lemur Research Action Fund grant, supported by the IUCN Save Our Species program.
Her project will investigate how Critically Endangered diademed sifakas (Propithecus diadema) adapt their behavior and ecology across two contrasting sites: Tsinjoarivo-Ambalaomby Protected Area, where diademed sifakas occur without indri, and La Mananara forest, where the two species live in sympatry.

By comparing these populations across different ecological and social contexts, Koloina’s research will provide valuable insights into the factors shaping diademed sifaka behavior and contribute to conservation planning for this Critically Endangered species.
Congratulations, Koloina, we are proud to see your research recognized and look forward to following this important work!
